Whitehouse Station was the location for the the 6th stop on the 2014 Time Trial cup series. The 8th edition of Somerset circuit TT boasted a record number of participants. Riders Andy Maher, Susan Seyboldt, Elissa Antelman, Shannon Grieb and Nicole LaGorga were representing Team EPS/CSS.
After completing a good warm up Elissa and Sue were first to go in the Eddy Women's category. Andy Maher was next off for the senior women followed by Shannon and Nicole in the Cat 4's. The course was a challenging 10 mile circuit with seven turns and some climbing. Team Somerset did a superb job of marshaling this course with every marshal standing, pointing and calling out the turns in addition to well placed signs, it was much appreciated by the riders.
Elissa had a solid ride in the Eddy cat finishing in 5th place while Sue Seyboldt stood proud on the podium in 2nd.
Andy Maher had a good ride and made the podium in the senior women's category taking third place. In the Cat 4 race Shannon lost a few valuable seconds dropping her chain on one of the climbs but quickly recovered to take 5th place. Nicole LaGorga had a superb ride finishing second place and shattering almost six minutes off her time from last year. A great day for Riptide Cycling!
