The ladies of EPS/CSS/Riptide Cycling team welcomed with open arms the ladies from Cawes Cycling Team at the 2016 season kick off meeting!! The ladies may have walked into these meetings feeling as if they were from 2 teams but they without a doubt left the days events bonded together as one amazingly talented team! TEAM RIPTIDE-CAWES! Please read below to hear about how the days events went and how a few of the riders think the merging of Riptide Cycling and Cawes Cycling went last Sunday at the Annual Team Meeting! From Riptide-Cawes rider Sarah Iepson: So, it's now officially official. The CAWES ladies have joined forces with the rippers of Riptide to create the most awesomest team of ladies this side of the Mississippi. Our kick-off meeting on Sunday was the first real team event bringing the two squads together and we're just so excited with what the bright future holds for us. Getting to know the shop, the products, and the sponsors is such an awesome part of being on a team like this. And, of course, getting to know the team and the expectations are key to a successful unity and year of racing. To say that the CAWES gals were all smiles is an understatement. We all feel as though this team combination is natural, comfortable, and 100% right. Plus, the new kits are HAWT! We are grateful to the entire Riptide Cycling family for welcoming us so warmly into the fold. We can't wait to see what the 2016 season holds but we're absolutely certain that it will be awesome! Bring it on!! From Riptide-Cawes rider Alli McCabe: Sunday officially kicked off the beginning of something great, Riptide-Cawes! It was the teams 11th annual team meeting and this year there were many exciting things to discuss. The day started out damp, drizzly and dark. That did not stop our new sponsor, Trek, and some of the amazing staff from Brielle Cyclery, from setting up our demo day at Allaire State Park. Trek provided us with many options from their extensive line of mountain bikes to their top of the line road collection. It was exciting to see what these monsters can do! Next we moved to Brielle Cyclery, where the majority of our day would be spent bonding, going over contracts, meeting/discussing sponsors and hammering out the fine details of our soon to be new Trek bike babies. We officially met the amazing women from Cawes! This combination is bound to be unstoppable! Once our Castelli rep arrived and our new kit was revealed our excitement was uncontrollable! Riptide-Cawes is going to look sharp! A huge THANK YOU to our new and returning sponsors!
