Race: East District 10 mile TT championships
Location: Tottenhill, UK
Rider(s): Bobbie Mach
Today I took part in the Cycling Time Trials (CTT) East District Championships! This race was a big step up for my racing here in England as the CTT racing series is racing on a regional/district level instead of the local level like I have been racing up to this point here in England! Bigger race brings out bigger hitters and faster times...I was nervous I was out of my league with these races but thought I would give it a shot anyway since the race was only 30 minutes from my village.
There was a pretty large field for this race of ladies in the East District and from other districts at this race was also a part of another Womens TT series cup! I was able to drive the course before the race and the route is gorgeous! I am glad I was able to view it before riding it completely oxygen deprived!
I was the 8th rider off and knew I had some fast ladies behind me so I was motivated to keep moving as I was being chased the entire race!! Overall this race went really well for me. There were a few minor hiccups but I pushed much harder than ever before in a race. I still had some left in the tank at the end so that was a tiche disappointing but now I know when I think and feel I am at my limit....PUSH HARDER there is more in my tank than I think! Much was learned in this race and had loads of fun! Overall I am very pleased with my 1st attempt at this level of racing and look forward to doing it again....next weekend!
